Pet friendly flooringWhat Is Vinyl Flooring So Pet Friendly ?

Vinyl flooring is ideal for Pets because it is a highly water resistant material, and with Pets around, mishaps do happen from time to time, but with Imprezzo you can simply mop the floor clean. Also with vinyl flooring you have the inherent benefit that, with its softer and warmer finish, your pet will be more confident and comfortable than if they were walking and lying on other hard surfaces such as laminate, stone or wood. Add to this the highly durable nature of Imprezzo vinyl flooring, coupled with our 25 year guarantee, and if you choose vinyl flooring as your Pet Friendly flooring solution it will not only stay undamaged, but will always be stunning to look at.

Our Pet Friendly Flooring Has Advantages Over Wood, Carpet, Laminate or Stone Flooring?

There are a number of advantages to choosing vinyl flooring for your Pet Friendly instead of wood, laminate or stone flooring.

Softer, More Luxurious Pet Friendly Flooring

Many of us love the clean look of harder flooring such as laminate, stone or wood, but they can sometimes feel too hard, cold and clinical to be properly Pet friendly. Imprezzo Luxury Vinyl Flooring offers all of the aesthetic benefits of these floors but adds to it a softer feel underfoot, a warmer material as well as the ability to match your interior design. Plus with its slightly textured surface it makes it easier for your pet to move across – reducing those ‘Scooby-Doo’ moments when your pet tries to get traction!

Durable Pet Friendly Flooring

Imprezzo luxury vinyl flooring is more durable than laminate flooring (according to a recent review by consumer champion Consumer Reports), and comes with an impressive 25 year guarantee for domestic use. This is great news for Pet Friendly flooring as it is likely to be subject to intensive use in most homes as pets spend time playing together or with their owners.

Warmer Pet Friendly Flooring

Using vinyl flooring for your Pet Friendly flooring is a warmer option than stone or laminate flooring, which helps to keep down energy bills as well as helping to make the Pet Friendly flooring more welcoming when it’s time for your pet to relax.

Water Resistant Pet Friendly Flooring

Vinyl Pet Friendly flooring is incredibly easy to clean, all you need is warm water and mild detergent, and being water resistant it won’t deform even if it gets wet from a wet walk, water dish spillages or bathtime, let alone toileting accidents, which can not be said for laminate flooring. This alone makes vinyl flooring an ideal choice for your Pet Friendly flooring. Indeed, from the perspective of practical yet stylish flooring, Imprezzo luxury vinyl floors qualify as the best choice for Pet Friendly flooring.

Child Friendly Flooring – Big Matters in Little Hands

Published on September 2, 2012, by in Child Friendly.

Any parent will tell you when ordering new flooring, the biggest question is:

How child friendly, or more to the point, how parent friendly is the flooring.  after all, for those of us with little ones, we know they’re the ones getting up close and personal with it.  So quite often our biggest concern, is how easy is the flooring to clean, and how ‘soft’ is it when the inevitable fall comes around.

There are a number of advantages to choosing vinyl flooring for your Child Friendly instead of wood, laminate or stone flooring.

Softer, More Luxurious Child Friendly Flooring

Many of us love the clean look of harder flooring such as laminate, stone or wood, but they can sometimes feel too hard, cold and clinical to be properly child friendly. Imprezzo Luxury Vinyl Flooring offers all of the aesthetic benefits of these floors but adds to it a softer feel underfoot, a warmer material as well as the ability to match your interior design.

Durable Child Friendly Flooring

Imprezzo luxury vinyl flooring is more durable than laminate flooring (according to a recent review by consumer champion Consumer Reports), and comes with an impressive 25 year guarantee for domestic use. This is great news for Child Friendly flooring as it is subject to intensive use in most homes as family and friends come round to spend quality time together and turn living rooms into play rooms or computer games zones.

Warmer Child Friendly Flooring

Using vinyl flooring for your Child Friendly flooring is a warmer option than stone or laminate flooring, which helps to keep down energy bills as well as helping to make the Child Friendly flooring more welcoming when it’s time to relax. Also, because it is softer, vinyl flooring will often save your crockery or glasses from smashing if you drop them, ideal for when you are entertaining at home or sneaking a TV dinner – stone or wood flooring is not so forgiving.

Water Resistant Child Friendly Flooring

Vinyl Child Friendly flooring is incredibly easy to clean, all you need is warm water and mild detergent, and being water resistant it won’t deform even if you spill things on it, which can not be said for laminate flooring. This alone makes vinyl flooring an ideal choice for your Child Friendly flooring, especially where children’s or animals’ natural exuberance does mean the odd accident. Indeed, from the perspective of practical yet stylish flooring, Imprezzo luxury vinyl floors qualify as the best choice for Child Friendly flooring.

All About DIY Flooring Measuring Guide

All About DIY Flooring Measuring GuideMeasuring your Room

Measuring a square room is pretty easy – the area of the room is the length times the width.

A room that isn’t a simple square or rectangle is a little more complicated, but not much. First of all, divide the room up so that it is made up of rectangular areas, as in the diagram below. If there is a feature such as a bay window then measure the longest and widest points of this area.

It is important that in any measurement, you add 10% to the total area of the room. This is to allow for any errors during installation as well as enabling you to lay in a staggered formation for a perfect finish.

Once you have measured each length, such as wall A or wall D, add a few inches/centimetres to the length to make sure you will have some overlap for safety. You don’t need much, just an inch or two. When you fit the flooring you will trim this extra amount off.

Now, however many rectangles you have, just calculate the area for each and add them together – in our example the area is:

Number of Packs

When calculating the number of packs of quality vinyl flooring you need, it is important to know which way the panels are going to run. They generally run in line with the light or window, but the choice is yours. Measure the room in the direction of the panels (this is the panel length ways) and then measure the room in the perpendicular direction (this is the panel width ways). Use the table below to calculate how many packs you need, rounding up to the nearest measurement. This should include enough to cover any wastage, but it is always advised to buy more in case of errors whilst laying, or for future replacements. A simpler, but less accurate method, is to work out the square meter size of the room and divide by two – however this will not include any natural wastage, and ordering more is strongly recommended.

Why Vinyl IS The Best Choice

Published on June 24, 2012, by in Uncategorized.

Why Vinyl Flooring

Maybe you have some decorating projects planned for this summer – and a new floor can really improve a room.

When it comes to new flooring, the best selling type is vinyl – but is vinyl the best choice for your home?

The independent experts at Consumer Reports conducted extensive tests on all kinds of flooring – wood, laminate, vinyl and cork.

One of the most important tests is how well the flooring will hold up through years of foot traffic – and to simulate this, the flooring was coated with an abrasive substance and a machine scrubbed the flooring up to 500 times. Testers also evaluated how well the flooring resists stains and whether sharp objects will scratch it, plus test how the sun may fade the floor’s colour.

The results were conclusive, vinyl beat the best of all the other flooring, including wood and laminate.

All About DIY Flooring stocks Imprezzo which is available in both Wood Effect and Stone Effect.
